PETER H. CALFEE, CPA, CFP, CLU, AEP is President and Owner of Calfee Financial Advisors, Inc. (CFA), which specializes in advising closely held businesses and their owners/shareholders on the accumulation, conservation and transfer of wealth.  Mr. Calfee’s Financial Planning experience with Corporate America and private business owners allows for compensation and benefit expertise to be offered as well to the non-profit educational and institutional markets.  This area of business development is of particular interest to Mr. Calfee due to his family’s independent school background.  Mr. Calfee was a Vice President with International Management Group (IMG) for over nine years where he provided financial, tax, insurance, pension, estate and investment advice to sports figures and top management of Fortune 500 companies.  Mr. Calfee holds his MBA from the University of Chicago, and his BA from Stanford University.  He is a member of AICPA, OSCPA, FPA, SFSP, and NAEPC.

In addition to having articles published in magazines such as Family Business and Crains, Mr. Calfee lectures often and is past Chair of The Board of Examiners and past member of the Board of Governors of The CFP Board of Standards in Denver, Co.  Mr. Calfee also served for six years on the Judson Retirement Community Board, and is Treasurer of the Board of The Cleveland Museum of Natural History.   

Mr. Calfee is a past Presenter at The National Association of Independent Schools Annual Conference and spoke on total compensation and Head of School contract issues.
